Apartments in Singapore and real estates are mainly built by investors’, businessmen and the government. There is like the pearl bank apartment which is a high rise private residential building which is situated on the peals hill in outran, near the China town of Singapore. The pear bank apartment is one of the Singapore’s pioneer of luxury high rise, high density living and they do set the standards of subsequent condominiums for the provision of communal amenities. In considerations the apartment in Singapore and its development in accordance to apartments the peal bank apartment was the first all housing projects to be undertaken in the urban renewal department of the sites program. The apartment was the tallest residential building in Singapore having a height if 113 meters that is 371 feet when it was completed in June 1976.

The peal bank apartment is located in a 8000- square meter 99 year lease hold site was put up for all together sale. Further this apartment is a 38 storey hollow cylindrical tower which resembles a horse shoe. This apartment was designed to have an occupation 1500 people. The international plaza was found by the urban renewal department of the housing and Development Board in the year 1966 so as to facilitate greater flexibility and autonomy in comprehensive re development in Singapore’s central area. The development of international plaza was the result of the department third sales program in 1969. The building was build at a cost of $ 52.8 millions and was completed on 7 th June 1976. it is a 50 storey plaza and it is one of the pioneers of integrating multiple operations into a single mixed –use development in Singapore that is in 1970,s. Further a minor upgrading was carried out on the international plaza in1985; involving an interior addition of new technology on the old systems and the addition of an external glass wall to achieve the desired overall thermal transfer value rating.

Moreover, the international plaza having a height of 190 meters which is 693 feet was one of the three tallest buildings in Singapore after completion in 1976 the other two apartment was OCBC centre housing 201 meters that is 659 feet and DBS building housing 186 meters that is 610 feet. Basically the international plaza is currently the tallest commercial building wit residential apartment in Singapore
